Foundation's
Investor-Philanthropists

Perhaps you are interested in education. That philanthropic space is far less crowded than you would imagine. Broadly speaking, foundations have virtually left behind the education sector. Of the nine billion dollars committed today to philanthropic purposes, less than 5% goes to education while over 80% goes to health.Additionally, many foundation contributions actually used for education go to middle income countries, not the poorest and most needy. No one begrudges even one philanthropic dollar dedicated to health. Yet with 67 million primary school-age children world-wide now not in school and more than 70 million adolescents likewise adrift, apart and absent from any educational school or structure, those nations with the greatest number of uneducated and undereducated reap harvests of unemployability, ignorance of history, customs and traditions—in all, a frightful formula for social unrest.

Where passion  and purpose connect

Finding a philanthropic purpose often resembles finding a personal partner.  One person can be locked in for life at first sight. Others sift through many possibilities before choosing.  A few go back and commit with a fresh second look.  Others commit when feeling moved as if by fate in a special situation, some people aren’t even looking for a philanthropic purpose or a personal partner when an unforeseen trigger episode occurs, such as a self-insight of feeling over-absorbed financially or under-fulfilled personally. Then others start out knowing from the first what kind of philanthropic purpose or personal partner they wish to pursue, and they go for it.
